We left La Paz on February 1st and headed up to Caleta Partida (Partida Cove). It is between two islands, Isla Espiritu Santo and Isla Partida, that are volcanic in origin. The cove is an old volcanic crater that has subsided and then breached to the open sea. Standing on our deck and looking around, I felt like I was in a crater!!
These islands are protected by the Mexican government as a national park, so no dogs or cats are allowed on shore. There is a small fishing village on each island and park rangers come out to visit each boat to collect daily fees for going ashore.
